[Collaboration] Lovense and the Resonating Power

I am honored to present Starboyjavi's first collaboration with Lovense, a leader in the sex tech industry for over a decade. When I contacted them, they embraced this project that merges art with technology without hesitation. The passion for merging art with innovative technology has brought us together on this magical journey, so I must offer my sincere thanks to Lovense for deeply valuing partnerships where creativity resonates. You offer a unique vision that connects people with highly immersive experiences, and you have brought me to the climax with the creation of the exclusive abstract work that brings us together in this collaboration, thanks to Gush 2, Lovense's masterpiece for men recently launched in January 2025.

The embrace of pleasure and patterns take over the artwork

This is the first sex toy I've ever tried, and the experience couldn't have been better. The Gush 2 is basically a vibrator for men, focusing on penis and frenulum massage. It can be used hands-free or by holding it yourself for greater control. Drawing inspiration from it wasn't difficult: the powerful vibration patterns of pulse, waves, fireworks, and earthquakes took over the paintings. My favorite is the earthquake. In my case, I tried the hands-free mode, and it works perfectly, but where I find the most pleasure is taking control of the ship myself, as I like to have full control of the helm and actively play with it. So, I was using the Gush 2 during the creative process, between pauses, and also before and after until I reached climax. I'll share my experience in more detail later, focusing solely on using the Gush 2.

For the artwork, I wanted to be inspired primarily by the shape of the sex toy, which truly fascinates me with its curves that embrace the penis. I'm a huge fan of teal green colors, so I looked to achieve different shades of green, not just the one that primarily characterizes the Gush 2. I was also inspired by the iridescent faceplate, the blue, purple, and magenta colors that shine on the front of the toy. Every time I look at it, I desperately wish it would light up with neon, and I'm certain that in the future, just like what happened with the Lush 4, we'll see a Gush 3 that lights up in color when used and according to its vibration patterns. I can't wait to see that update that will fill pleasure sessions with playful light. My intention in the work is, in addition to representing the different patterns through strokes, to incorporate those different colors that have ignited within me.

On the other hand, it remains to talk about the main paint strokes that represent the silhouette of Gush 2. As I mentioned at the beginning, I'm fascinated by the toy's shape and its curves, because they reflect a level of elegance and sophistication on par with great works of art. I think it's very important for a sex toy to be pleasing to the eye, to convey emotions, and to inspire you during sexual play. After all, it's something you'll be looking at and controlling all the time, and just like a canvas decorating your bedroom wall, it should be something that makes you feel comfortable, at ease, and relaxed, especially when it comes to sexual pleasure. I felt very at ease using it, contemplating it, admiring it.

Someone is probably wondering why there are so many pink, fucsia and magenta colors in the work, taking part of the center stage. This has a very beautiful reason for me. As I mentioned before, for me, Gush 2 is the counterpart to Lush 4, but for men. As a heterosexual man, women are my sun and moon, and I think of those special people when I'm touching myself. In that sense, I thought about Lush and wanted to give a little bit of a spotlight to women and their sex toy, because men are nothing without them, and I think they're a fundamental part of the Gush 2 experience. In this way, I wanted to make a nod through the strong pink that characterizes what I believe is the quintessential vibrator for women. With this in mind, I fused the Gush 2, which is the central element, with reminiscences of the Lush 4, so that the wings of Gush 2 embrace the body of the Lush 4, in a symbolic gesture of love between men and women. Although this is my idea, I want to emphasize that beyond the dichotomy between men and women, my vision is applicable to any gender identity and sexual orientation, because diversity unlocks innovation, and Lovense is committed to inclusion in the design and functionality of its sex toys.

Gush 2, artfully forged by pleasure smiths

If you've made it this far, you'll know this isn't a technical article filled with product specifications like most reviews. Here, you'll find special information not found anywhere else about the Gush 2 and my creative and personal experience using it.

I never imagined such a powerful sexual tool for men could exist, dedicated exclusively to the penis. The work it does on the frenulum simply takes you to the stratosphere. It's a very powerful motor; it has plenty of power, even at low settings. I like to use it at full power for more than half the session, but it's very interesting to start slowly with the first of the three standard power levels, which already gets you perfectly tense. The second level is a showy transition to where you really want to go with the third level. I must say that they've truly done a spectacular job with the oscillating vibration that falls directly on the frenulum, with that powerful movement reminiscent of the one speakers make when they pump out their bass. Speaking of sound, Gush 2 is fairly quiet, although if you crank it up to the max and there are people around, they'll definitely hear it. 

On the other hand, the Lovense Remote app for controlling the toy is one of Lovense's hallmarks and works like a charm. It can also be controlled by someone else via a link, providing an additional level of limitless play. You can also easily activate the toy offline by pressing the power button several times; it's very easy and convenient.

As I said, I prefer to use it with my hands and directly control where the vibrations go. At first, you have to identify your best spots; it's a matter of practice, and you quickly learn where they are... it's very intuitive. Regarding the straps, I find them an interesting accessory, especially for hands-free use. I prefer the freedom and flexibility that comes with the power of my hand and the Gush 2, so I haven't needed to use them much, but I've tried them and they do their job.

As for the design, it's simply beautiful; I love it. The matte finish is spectacular; it's pleasant to the touch, easy to clean, and very durable. Truly, it's a sex toy without flaws, without weaknesses, only room for improvement, because this is just the beginning of the vibrator revolution for men. As I mentioned, this is my first sex toy, so I didn't have the original Gush, but I did my research and saw that the qualitative leap is enormous. If you ask me my predictions, I think the Gush 3, in addition to including LED lights, will focus its efforts on perhaps reducing the size and weight, so that the product is a little thinner and even more comfortable to use, although it already is. The power is fantastic and you can reach the end in no time, but it's so adjustable that you can extend the pleasure for as long as you want; it's sensational. Since I'm a bit of a geek, I love to enjoy maximum power, so I would give it even more. We must recognize the great work and balance between power and a comfortable product to use because, let's remember, it has to vibrate throughout, and that's not easy to achieve with a motor that's powerful yet compact and can be successfully adjusted, in general, to any penis size.

Finally, I want to highlight, from my point of view, the Gush 2's undisputed strength: the oscillating vibrations in the frenulum. This unique and innovative feature is what truly takes you on a journey through the multiverse. This function activates you from minute one and allows you to have orgasms before the final climax throughout the session. I don't know how this could be improved because it's already perfect, but if they manage to make it even more complex, it would completely break my mold. This is definitely the right direction. I want to emphasize that you can finish using the Gush 2 or quickly removing it just beforehand, and thus also play with different types of climaxes. On the other hand, I think that in addition to the frenulum, another strong point worth addressing would be the glans. This is a task already handled by the Lovense Kraken, but if it could somehow be integrated into the Gush 2 experience (to massage the front of the glans), I could be talking about touching divinity: perhaps only the top part could be made more enveloping and covered with special pads or texture; it could also be a new compatible accessory to add.
